【摘要】:1.1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheprocedurestobefollowedforpreparing,maintaining,andpublishingaregisterofescapesequencesandofthecodedcharactersetstheyidentify.1.2TheregistrationprocessspecifiedinISO/IEC2375isnotaprocedureforstandardizationofcharactersorcodedcharactersets.OrganizationsthatwishISOand/orIECtocreateaninternationalstandardforacodedcharactersetorthatwishISOand/orIECtocodeadditionalcharactersintoISO/IEC10646needtofollowtheISO/IECproceduresfordoingso.Inparticular,–RegistrationofacodedcharactersetaccordingtotheproceduresspecifiedbythisstandardimpliesnocommitmentbyISOand/orIECtoadoptthecodedcharactersetasanISO/IECstandard.–TheexistenceofacharacterinanapprovedregistrationdoesnotimplyacommitmentbyISOand/orIECtoencodethatcharacterintoISO/IEC10646.1.3ISO/IEC2022describestheescapesequencesreferencedinthisInternationalStandard,exceptforescapesequencesreservedinISO/IEC2022forprivateuse.1.4Theuseoftheseescapesequencesincludescodeextension,thatis,theprovisionofadditionalsetsofcharacters,orofadditionalcontrolfunctions,inaccordancewithISO/IEC2022.1.5AnescapesequenceregisteredinaccordancewiththisInternationalStandardservesasanidentificationofthecharacter,thesetofcharacters,orthecontrolfunctionassociatedwithitintheregister.1.6Theregistrationitselfdoesnotspecifytherulesinaccordancewithwhichacharacterorcharactersetidentifiedbyanescapesequenceistobeused.Rather,theregistrationidentifiesthedocuments(forexample,standards)whichspecifysuchrules.
