【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscovertheconstructionandperformance,exclusiveofperformanceduringfiretests,ofportablecarbon-dioxidefireextinguishers.Carbon-dioxidefireextinguishersareintendedtobeutilizedinaccordancewiththeStandardforPortableFireExtinguishers,NFPA10andtheNationalFireCodeofCanada.1.2Therequirementsforperformanceduringfiretestingofcarbon-dioxidefireextinguishersarespecifiedintheBinationalStandardforRatingandFireTestingofFireExtinguishers,ANSI/UL711CAN/ULC-S508.1.3Asusedintheserequirements,theterm"extinguisher"referstoallextinguishersoranypartthereofcoveredbytheserequirements,unlessspecificallynotedotherwise.ThisneweditionofANSI/UL154CAN/ULC-S503isabinationalstandardthathasbeenharmonizedwiththerequirementsofCanada.ThiseditionincludesanexpansionofthestandardscopetospecifyCanadianinstallationrequirements,reorganizedandrenumberedrequirements,andtheadditionofoperatinginstructionspictographstothemarkingsection.
