【摘要】:ThisstandardspecifiestheATAttachmentInterfacebetweenhostsystemsandstoragedevices.Itprovidesacommonattachmentinterfaceforsystemsmanufacturers,systemintegrators,softwaresuppliers,andsuppliersofintelligentstoragedevices.TheapplicationenvironmentfortheATAttachmentInterfaceisanyhostsystemthathasstoragedevicescontainedwithintheprocessorenclosure.Thisstandarddefinestheconnectorsandcablesforphysicalinterconnectionbetweenhostandstoragedevice,aswellas,theelectricalandlogicalcharacteristicsoftheinterconnectingsignals.Italsodefinestheoperationalregisterswithinthestoragedevice,andthecommandsandprotocolsfortheoperationofthestoragedevice.ThisstandardmaintainsahighdegreeofcompatibilitywiththeATAttachment-3Interfacestandard(ATA-3),X3.298-1997,andwhileprovidingadditionalfunctions,isnotintendedtorequirechangestopresentlyinstalleddevicesorexistingsoftware.
