【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandtestmethodsforfabricatedpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)plasticschedule40drainageandDWVfittingstobeusedwithpipingmanufacturedinaccordancewithSpecificationD2665,D1785,orF891.Thesefabricatedfittingsaremanufacturedfrompipe,orfromacombinationofpipeandinjectionmoldedparts.1.2TherequirementsofthisspecificationaretoprovidefabricatedPVCfittingssuitablefordrainageandventingofsanitarywastesystems,stormwatersystems,andcertainotherliquidwastes.Fittingsshallhavesolventcementjoints,gasketjointsoracombinationthereof.1.3Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section10,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
